Attorney Maria-Paula C. Etienne has years of experience handling family law, business and family immigration, as well as deportation defense. As a former Assistant Regional Counsel, attorney Etienne appeared daily in court to advocate for hundreds of parents whose children were removed from their custody under Florida Chapter 39 Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights. She has litigated at each critical stage of the dependency or termination of parental rights proceedings and has successfully achieved family reunification.

Ms. Etienne has more than 20 years of experience handling family immigration petitions. She has worked with very prominent law firms in New York and Miami assisting families emigrate to the United States. She has also successfully defended lawful permanent residents in cancellation of removal proceedings and asylum applicants.

Additionally, Ms. Etienne also represents many clients in dissolution of marriage, child support, visitation and custody disputes. With a focus on the best interests of the children, Ms. Etienne strives to reach the quickest resolution of marital conflicts, child support and custody.

Ms. Etienne studied business administration at Baruch College of the City University of New York and studied law at St. Thomas University School of Law where she graduated cum laude. Ms. Etienne strives to educate the Haitian Community in all major developments in immigration and family law by hosting a radio show called "Nouvel Legal avek Maria." The show airs Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on local Haitian radio station 1700 A.M. Radio Mega. Tuesday's show is re-aired Wednesdays from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. In her spare time Ms. Etienne likes to exercise and practice taekwondo where she is a second-degree black belt.
